Your first visit, described plainly
No surprises. Here is what happens from the time you arrive to the time you leave — for a massage session and for colon hydrotherapy.
Before you arrive
Complete your intake form online
Before any service, please fill out our online intake form ahead of your appointment. It helps us prepare for your visit, and your therapist will go over it with you in person when you arrive.
Wear comfortable clothing
You will be getting on and off a table, so dress for ease. Loose layers work well.
Eat lightly beforehand
Especially before a colon hydrotherapy session. A heavy meal shortly before is not ideal.
Arrive about ten minutes early
It gives you time to settle in, use the restroom, and fill in any intake details without rushing.
Bring a referral if you have one
If your visit follows a physician's referral or clearance, bring it with you.
Appointment Cancellation Policy
Cancellations must be made online through the Vagaro app, which is available 24/7. Please cancel at least 24 hours before your scheduled appointment to avoid a $30 cancellation fee. No-shows will be charged the full appointment fee. Series services may be applied to cover any no-show or late cancellation fees if payment is not completed. By booking an appointment, you agree to the credit card charges specified in this policy.
For a massage session
What a massage session looks like
- 1
Arrive and settle in
You are greeted, shown where to put your things, and given a few quiet minutes.
- 2
A short conversation
Our therapist goes over your intake form with you, then asks what brought you in, what areas are bothering you, and what you would like from the session. This is where the session is tailored — not from a menu, but from what you say.
- 3
Get comfortable on the table
You are left in private to undress to your comfort level and get on the table under the draping. You are covered throughout the session.
- 4
The session itself
Our therapist works the areas you discussed, checking in on pressure and comfort. For deep tissue or therapeutic work, the pressure is focused on the areas of tension. For relaxation massage, it is smooth and flowing.
- 5
Afterward
You are given time to get up slowly. Our therapist offers water and a moment to talk through what they noticed and any aftercare. You book your next visit on your way out if you would like.
For a colon hydrotherapy session
What a colon hydrotherapy session looks like
- 1
A private room
You are shown to a private treatment room. Kathrine goes over your intake form with you in person. Kathrine explains the equipment, the water temperature, and how the session works before anything begins.
- 2
A closed system
Warm, filtered water is introduced through a small, single-use speculum. It is a closed system: water goes in and waste leaves through the same sealed tubing. The components that touch you are disposable. Kathrine controls the water flow and temperature throughout the session.
- 3
The session lasts about 30 to 45 minutes
Kathrine stays in the room with you for the entire session and checks in with you throughout.
- 4
Afterward
When the session is finished, you are given privacy to use the restroom and get dressed. Kathrine answers any questions, and you can book your next visit on your way out if you would like.
Who should talk to their doctor first
Colon hydrotherapy for general wellness is not an established medical treatment. The FDA classifies colonic irrigation devices differently depending on whether they are used for medically indicated cleansing or for general wellbeing. This studio does not diagnose, treat, or claim to cure anything.
Please speak with your doctor before booking if any of these apply to you:
- You have a medical condition, especially one affecting the digestive system.
- You take medication, including blood thinners.
- Colon hydrotherapy is contraindicated during pregnancy.
- You have had recent surgery — particularly before lymphatic drainage or colon hydrotherapy.
Your intake is completed online and reviewed with your therapist at the time of service.
