Welcome
Welcome to A Unique Touch
Welcome to A Unique Touch — a spa for relaxation and wellness. A Unique Touch is a Florida Licensed Massage Establishment in Spring Hill, owned and run by Kathrine Allen, a Licensed Massage Therapist. Two distinct lines of work sit under one roof here: all types of massage and colon hydrotherapy.
Florida licenses and inspects massage establishments, requires liability insurance, and requires the establishment's license number to appear in its advertising. You will find that number — MM10214 — printed plainly on this page, on the premises, and on the license on the wall.

Why people choose a licensed establishment
Florida is one of a relatively small number of states that license and inspect massage establishments. To hold that license, an establishment must carry liability insurance, pass inspection, and operate under the rules set by the Florida Board of Massage Therapy. The license number — here, MM10214 — must appear in any advertisement, including on a website, by law.
That requirement exists for a reason. Before you book a massage or a colon hydrotherapy session anywhere, there are a few things you can check in a minute or two: that the establishment's license number is printed in its advertising; that the license is posted on the wall when you arrive; that the therapist is named and credentialed; that the hours are published; and that there is a real booking system behind the contact form. These are not formalities — they are the difference between a regulated establishment and one that is not.
The therapist here is named: Kathrine Allen, Licensed Massage Therapist. The hours are published: Monday through Friday, 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM. The license number is on this page and on the wall. You can book online directly. You can read more about Kathrine and the first visit on their own pages.
A specialty service
Colon hydrotherapy in Spring Hill
Colon hydrotherapy is the gentle, controlled introduction of warm, filtered water into the colon through a small, single-use speculum, in a private room, over the course of a session lasting roughly 30 to 45 minutes. The water flows in and releases, and the client is in control of the flow throughout. The equipment is designed for comfort and uses disposable, single-use components.
Florida is one of very few states that certifies colonic irrigation through its Board of Massage Therapy, which means the training and the equipment here meet a state standard rather than a voluntary one. Even so, colon hydrotherapy for general wellness is not an established medical treatment. The FDA classifies colonic irrigation devices differently depending on whether they are used for medically indicated cleansing or for general wellbeing. This studio does not diagnose, treat, or claim to cure anything. If you have a medical condition, take medication, are pregnant, or have had recent surgery, speak with your doctor before booking.
You can read exactly what a session involves — step by step — on the services page and the what to expect page.
What people book for
Benefits of Massage
A note on why people walk through the door — written as experience, not as a medical claim.
Most people book a massage for one of a handful of ordinary reasons. Some book a session because a week has been long and they simply want to be still for an hour. Others book because their back has been tight, or their shoulders have crept up toward their ears, and they want hands on the place that has been holding it. There is no claim here about what a massage will fix — only that an hour of focused, unhurried work on the body is a thing many people make time for.
Some people book a particular modality — deep tissue because they want firm pressure, hot stone because they want warmth, prenatal because lying comfortably has become difficult. Others book by feel and let the session find its own depth. Both are welcome here. If you are not sure which one fits, book online and we can talk through what you are after and point you at the right session.
What we won't do is tell you a massage will treat, cure, heal, or prevent anything. If you are carrying an injury or a condition, the conversation worth having is with your doctor — and we are glad to be brought into that conversation rather than set up in place of it.
